Alone on the open highland — a turf-roofed house captured frame by frame from above.
Chapter I
A red gravel drive draws its line through the moss. The house emerges in measured rhythm — first the ridge, then the living turf roof, then yellow timber against the green.
Designed in conversation with its setting, the house sits low against the moor, its grass roof folding it into the land, its deck turned toward the mountains.
Chapter II
A deep corner sofa faces full-height glazing that draws the highland indoors. Oak floors, pale walls, and northern light that changes by the hour.
Chapter III
Sage-green cabinetry runs the wall beneath a steel hood, the island answering in the same quiet colour. Evening sun lies across the oak floor, and every window frames the open land.
Chapter IV
The deck runs the full front of the house, glass sliding doors behind it and the hot tub set into its corner. Around it the land runs unbroken to the mountains — no neighbours in sight.
